You’ll Spend this on a New Uncharted

Subaru revealed the pricing for all three trims of the 2027 Uncharted EV. Subaru’s version of the Toyota C-HR. Two of the three trims have AWD and big power.

Subaru just revealed prices for the 2027 Uncharted. The Uncharted is a two-row, pure electric machine that arrived last year as a 2026 model. It’s Subaru’s version of the Toyota C-HR. Subaru sells three trims of Uncharted: Premium (base), Sport, and GT. The latter two offer two electric motors and all-wheel-drive, but the Premium comes standard with a single motor and front-wheel-drive.

However, Toyota only offers two trims of C-HR: SE, XSE. Both of those include all-wheel-drive and big power. Ironic that only Subaru offers a front-wheel-drive version. While I have not yet driven the Uncharted, this C-HR review will give you a very good idea of what it’s like. Or watch my video review below.

Premium

Base price of the base model holds steady at $34,995 or $36,470, when you include the $1475 destination charge. For that, you get 221 horsepower sent to the front wheels. Furthermore, a 74.7 kWh battery pack—like Uncharted trims—supply the needed energy, granting you a range of 308 miles.

All Uncharted vehicles get a 14.0-in center display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a slew of driving aids. You also get dual wireless smartphone chargers, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, multiple charge ports, and a leather wrapped steering wheel. Outside, you get 8.2-in of ground clearance and 18-inch aluminum wheels to roll on.

Sport

Selecting the Uncharted Sport adds a second electric motor to the rear axle, supplying your 178-in long EV with all-wheel-drive in the process. Horsepower jumps up to 338, which matches the aforementioned Toyota C-HR. And that drops total driving range to 287 miles. Starting prices gets into the 40s when you include the destination charge: $41,270.

The Sport also adds roof-rails with a 176 lbs. load capacity. Inside, you get a heated steering wheel, as well as a 360-degree view monitor, a power tailgate, a power adjustable front passenger seat, and additional driving aids.

GT

Jumping into the top-of-the-line Uncharted GT keeps the powertrain of the Sport but adds a bit more panache. You get a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, a nicer sound system, and a digital rearview mirror.

Outside you now roll on 20-in wheels and have the option to coat the Uncharted in two-tone paints. The added equipment and larger wheels drop the total driving range to a still respectable 273 miles. And all of it costs $45,270 when you include the destination charge.

Conclusion

It’s odd to see a non-all-wheel-drive Subaru offered here, after all this isn’t a BRZ sports car. But $35K to get into an EV isn’t too bad. Especially since that’s what Subaru charged last year. I’m pleasantly surprised to see cost not shoot up.

After all, it seems like everything costs more these days. And since gasoline is one of them, and by a big margin. That makes the idea of an EV even more appealing.
