Genesis just announced the cost for its updated, 2026 GV70 compact crossover SUV. And, as I expected, we see an incremental price increase. Details below.
Late last year, Genesis announced an update to its most popular vehicle, the GV70 compact crossover SUV. While the Korean premium brand left the powertrain alone, we saw tweaks to exterior styling and updated technology inside. For more detail on all of what’s new for 2026, read my article here.
Genesis left the cost of the updated GV70 out of that announcement, but recently revealed it to us. And, a little surprisingly, we see a price increase of $2385. That price jump does include an extra $100 for destination, which I included in the price, it went from $1350 to $1450. But that means Genesis added the remaining $2285.
I include a full price breakdown of each trim of 2026 Genesis GV70 below for you to see the full scope of the lineup.

What’s new for 2026
Check out my previous article for more detail. Briefly, 2026 models get what Genesis calls the G-Matrix Crest Grille. You also see new multi-lens array headlights and wider air intakes. The rear sees similar tweaks as the front. The base wheel will be a 19-inch alloy, but Genesis go as big as 21s for the GV70. You can also choose a new color called Ceres Blue.
Inside, the big change comes in the form of a 27-inch organic light emitting diode (OLED) display that makes up both your digital instrument cluster and center display. If that sounds familiar, it’s precisely what Genesis added to its larger GV80 crossover SUV in 2025.
Genesis also added another drive mode. It’s called the Terrain, which will change vehicle settings to better suite driving in snow, mud, or sand. I presume that means encouraging the transmission to stay in a lower gear and allowing more wheel slip before traction control intervenes.

Conclusion
Mechanically speaking, Genesis pretty much left the GV70 alone. If you want to get a sense for how it drives, check out my review of the 2024 Genesis GV70 below. That said, I think the styling changes go in the right direction and I really enjoyed the OLED display in the GV80. These incremental changes to the compact crossover will likely elevate its feel overall. Perhaps another drive review is in order.
